Wild Life in our Garden
We are very fortunate for the estate to be a mix of natural and planted woodland. Varying from inpenetrable bramble undergrowth and wild flower filled meadows to cut grassland and lawns set around 30 acres of water.  This encourages a huge range of animals, flowers and buttterflies for all our guest to enjoy using our well cut pathways to give easy access to everybody.

With all of this we have an added bonus of bird life. It varies from the normal garden varieties in plenty,  plus some extremely unusual birds which spend their summers with us.  Also, migratory birds which pass annually including european cranes by the thousand and birds like osprey which find us a useful stop over.

The Brenne National Park,   is situated 10 minutes to the south of us, making the whole region very attractive to many different waders and duck's.

European Bea Eater

The European Bee Eater is an occasional visitor to the garden and we are lucky to have two regular nesting sites within 15 minutes.

Sanglier

Above and below our largest animals on site

Although you are quite likely to see deer as you walk around,  the sanglier are much more timid and require more patience and effort to see them although you will see plenty of signs of where they have made use of the lake margins
